The study concluded that outdoor treatment resulted in clinically significant reductions in the severity of behavioral and emotional symptoms in 83% of participants with 46% of participants returning to a normal range as a result of treatment.
12 Month Follow-Up: At 12 months after treatment students had not only maintained their outcomes, but reported continued improvement.
24 Month Follow-Up: Over 80% of parents and 95% of youth contacted believed that treatment was effective 2 years after the process.

In December 04 SUWS of the Carolinas was featured on the Dr. Phil Show. In recommending the program Dr. Phil told a young man, "I want to send you to a program called SUWS of the Carolinas.
